Occurrence of Cryptosporidium spp in piglet with diarrhea from farms of southwest Parana State

Abstract


The occurrence of Cryptosporidium spp was studied in fecal samples of 219 swine 0-50 days old with diarrhea, from farms of Southwest Parana. Cryptosporidium oocysts were found in 19 (8,67%) fecal samples. Any significant difference occurred between the ages and the stages of growth in relation to positive samples.
