To complete the Master and PhD levels, the student must complete the hours and credits distributed as follows:
For the Master´s Degree Program, the student must complete 64 (sixty-four) credits corresponding to 960 (nine hundred and sixty) hours, distributed as follows:
7 (seven) credits in basic courses;
At least 13 (thirteen) credits in Elective Courses of the Program, and the remaining 4 (four) credits may be done in other Programs with national validity;
40 (forty) credits in dissertation
For the doctorate, the student must complete 160 (one hundred and sixty) credits, corresponding to 2,400 (two thousand four hundred) hours, distributed as follows:
6 (six) credits in basic courses;
At least 30 (thirty) credits in courses within the concentration area of the Program, and the remaining 4 (four) credits may be met in other Postgraduate Programs with national validity;
120 (one hundred and twenty) credits in Thesis.
Credits obtained during the completion of the Master’s Degree Program can be transferred to the Doctorate Degree Program.
The scholarship recipients of the CAPES / MEC Foundation must also complete Teaching Internships of 2 (two) and 4 (four) credits hours to obtain a Master´s and PhD degree, respectively
