John Krasinski and The Office cast recreate their wedding dance

por Eli Bruns (2020-05-11)

He's been hosting a weekly web series of good news-only YouTube videos with some of his famous friends since the start of the coronavirus pandemic — aptly titled Some Good News.

John Krasinski called in some favors for Sunday's seventh episode, when he managed to bring most of the cast of The Office together to recreate Jim and Pam's wedding dance from the modern classic comedy.

The 40-year-old actor, writer and director brought in his friends to help make a wedding he officiated on the show even more special.

Blast from the past: John Kraskinski, 40, capped off Sunday's episode of Some Good News by marrying a lucky couple and recreating the Office wedding dance with his costars

John picked the couple to marry after seeing their marriage proposal video, which was inspired by a scene from The Office in which his character Jim Halpert proposed to Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) at a gas station.

'You sent in, I think, the greatest proposal video I've ever seen,' John said to the lucky couple, Susan and John.

Though the couple had recently gotten married, the Quiet Place applied online to become an ordained minister for a second virtual marriage.

He surprised Susan and John, first by inviting their parents and siblings to join the Zoom chat, then by inviting Jenna to stand in as Susan's maid of honor.

'I didn't know what your wedding colors were, but I went with pink and white,' she said, gesturing back to a flower arrangement, which happened to perfectly match their colors.

The parade of guests continued when John invited country singer Zac Brown to sing his new song for Susan's virtual walk down the aisle, which left the happy couple in tears.

The Office star got visibly emotional afterward when he 'married' the couple again, and Jenna piped in after the kiss.

'There's only way out of this wedding,' John said as he took over. 'Because you so elegantly ripped off our show for your proposal, I think it's only fitting that you rip off the wedding too.'

He slammed a portable speaker down on his desk then and introduced the rest of the cast of The Office, who danced in pre-recorded segments to Chris Brown's Forever.
