ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Master’s and Doctorate Programs in Chemistry (PMDQ) aims to form intellectual resources in Chemistry at high standards. The PMDQ has an academic and research nature with an essentially scientific objective, and the central target is not only based on the transmission of knowledge already constituted but at the elaboration of new knowledge through creative research activity. Furthermore, the graduate Program aims to provide within the university the appropriate environment and resources, so that a plain scientific research can take place, where the autonomous and innovative action of the highest forms of university culture can be ensured. The PMDQ is responsible for training creative and competent professionals who can meet the demand in basic and higher education levels, and at the same time ensure the constant improvement of professional quality. Furthermore, the PMDC intends to stimulate the development of scientific research through the adequate preparation of reserchers by effective training of intellectual workers to meet the needs of national development in all sectors, as well as acting in the development of new techniques and processes.
