• a PNPD/CAPES scholarship
  In this case, the student has to refer to the  Call for Scholarship Applications, which are usually made available  in the middle of the year, for a 12-month scholarship, with the practicum starting in the following year;
• or without a scholarship
  In this case, call for applications are continuous according to the norms included in the CEPE Resolution 039/2012.

It is important to emphasize that, in both modalities, only teachers with at least one advisee, who have already defended his/her PhD thesis, can supervise post-doctoral practicums.
