Mario Lemes Proença Jr. is an Associate Professor and leader of the research group that studies computer networks in the Computer Science Department at the State University of Londrina (UEL), Brazil. He received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2005. He received the title of M.Sc degree in Computer Science from the Informatics Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 1998. He has authored or coauthored over 110 papers in refereed international journals and conferences, books chapters, and one software register patent. His research interests include Computer Networks, Network Operations, Management and Security, and IT Governance. He has supervised more than 140 Ph.D., Master of Science students, graduate and undergraduate students in computer science. He is a master’s supervisor in computer science at the computer science department at UEL. Also, he is a Ph.D. supervisor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UEL.
Luiz F. Carvalho received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from the State University of Campinas in 2018. He completed his master’s degree in Computer Science at the State University of Londrina in 2014. He has experience in Computer Science with an emphasis in Computer Networks and is part of the research group Computer Networks and Data Communication. He is currently a professor in the Computer Engineering Department, Federal University of Technology – Paraná. His main research interests are management and security of computer networks.
He is Graduated in Computer Science from the State University of Londrina (2011), Master in Computer Science from the State University of Londrina (2014) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at PPGAEE State University of Londrina / Federal Technological University of Paraná - Campus Cornélio Procópio (2020). He is currently an adjunct professor in the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). He worked as a visiting researcher at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) for 6 months, developing his doctoral research through the CAPES PDSE program. He is part of the research group "Computer Networks and Data Communication" and has experience in the field of Computer Science, with an emphasis on Computer and Communication Systems, working mainly on the following topics: SDN, computer networks, security, machine, and deep learning.
Daniel Matheus Brandão Lent received a bachelor's degree from the State University of Londrina (UEL) in 2021 and a master's degree in 2023. He is a member of the Orion research group that studies computer networks and data communication at UEL's computer science department. He now aspires to a doctorate in electrical engineering studying computer networks security and deep learning.
Alexandro M. Zacaron is a Ph.D. student in Eletrical Engineering Doctorate Program at the State University of Londrina. He is a graduate student researcher at Orion Laboratory working under the supervision of Dr. Mario Proença. Alexandro completed his master’s degree in computer science in 2013. His main interests are computer network and security.
Vitor G. da Silva Ruffo received a B.Sc degree in computer science (summa cum laude) from the State University of Londrina (UEL), Londrina, Brazil, in 2023. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc degree in computer science and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at UEL. Since 2021, he has been a member of the ORION research group from the State University of Londrina’s computer science department. His research interest includes Software-Defined Networking, network anomaly detection, and Deep Learning.
Mateus Komarchesqui is an M.Sc student in computer science at the State University of Londrina (UEL), Londrina, Brazil. He is a member of the ORION research group from the computer science department of UEL. His research interests include Network Security, Software-Defined Networks, Deep Learning and eXplainable AI.
Vinícius F. Schiavon has been an undergraduate computer science student at the State University of Londrina since 2021. He has also been an active member of the ORION research group since 2023. His research interests include Deep Learning and network security.
