The papers must be registered under the Simposium, Round Table, Oral Comunication or Poster type.
If the number of submitted and approved papers exceeds the number of presentation rooms, the Organizing Comission holds the right to transfer the exceeded papers to Poster sessions, without further notice.
Each registered participant can submit scientific papers, of the same type or in different modalities. It will be accepted a maximum of five authors for each paper. Only registered authors shall receive paper presentation certificate.
Only concluded research, or theorical and historical papers will be accepted as Oral Comunications. Unconcluded research, extension paper, theorical rehearsal and Case Studies will be accepted as Posters.
1. Norms for Round Tables and Simposium proposals
These activities must be in advanced level. Simposiums are composed of two participants, with 30 minutes presentation for each, followed by 30 minute debate session. The participants present complementary and relevant contribution to Psychology about the same theme. To this activity a moderator will be indicated to discuss how the works articulate in the production of scientific knowledge to the Psychology or Behavior Analysis areas. One of the participants will be nominated coordinator of the Simposium.
The Round Tables will have three participants, with 20 minutes for presentation each, being one of them the coordinator and responsible for the papers submission. The participants shall present different view or divergent points about the same theme, that permit promote a debate among the table components and the audience.
The Simposiums and Round Tables should be proposed through an paper, identifying participants, specify the objective of the proposal and describe briefly what each member will present. The abstract must come with a title that describe the set of papers.
2. Norms for proposal of papers of research or intervention
The research or intervention abstracts must be of concluded work with relevance to the production of knowlege in the fields of Psychology or Behavior Analysis. They must clearly specify the objectives, without citations, include the research problem. The research reports must describe the method, specifying participants, equipment and materials used, as the procedure, used techniques and strategies. The results description must contain the sinthesis of the obtained work, specifying data, and, if it is the case, explicit measures and statistical tests results or other used techniques. At the end, a conclusion shall be presented, based on the data and answer to the research problem.
3. Presenting Oral Comunication
The paper approved shall be presented by one of the authors, at day and time to be specified by the Scientific Comission. Each participant will have 15 (fifteen) minutes. The debate of the papers presented will be at session end.
4. Presenting Poster
The poster shall be fixed half hour before the scheduled time for presentation, at the panel number indicated by the Organizing Comission. The mount and unmount of the poster is a solely authors responsibility and event will provide no materials to fix them. The timing for presentation will be strictly followed. During that period, the presenter must be available to event participants and judging Comission for questioning and explanations. There is no chance, it will be accepted that the poster be presented by other persons that are not authors. The poster must be taken off right after its presentation, for the Organizing Comission is not responsible for losses or damages.
Poster Size: Each poster may have 0,90 cm (width) x 1,20 cm (height) available for its exposition. The poster must be a one page banner, or smaller pages mounted into a exibiting estruture, being the first option the recomended one. The poster must contain:
1.Title;
2.Name and family name of authors (no abbreviation);
3. Authors e-mails;
4. Institution, finance or support names;
5. Introduction, Justificative and objectivesof the work (relevance);
6. Method [show at least the fundamental elements] ;
7. Participants (Or data font), Instrument and procedure;
8. Results obtained and its discussion (analysis and interpretation);
9. Conclusion and final remarks;
10. Bibliografic References.
Obligatory: The authors must afix cards with information so interested can contact them.
5. Abstract Rules.
Abstracts in Portuguese or English will be accepted. The Abstracts must be prepared in accordance with the following rules: It is highly recomended to copy the template below, and the Abstract be prepared by substituting the parts presented. The Abstracts will evaluated by a scientific comission, and can be devoluted for reformulation or not be accepted if out the rules or not attend the themes of the event.
Abstract Format:
1. The Abstract must contain between 400 and 500 words, prepared by Word for Windows 6.0 or 7.0, justified paragraphs, using Times New Roman, size 12, simple space between lines.
2. The title should be in bold upper case letters. At the same line, in italics, it should be followed by authors complete unabbreviated names separated by commas, and, within parentheses, the department or laboratory - optional, institution, city, State and country. The lecturer name must be underlined.
3. The text body must be continuous, with no subtitles, nor paragraph spaces, bibliographical references, tables or figures.
4. The following line after the body, present three key-words that identify best the paper.
5. After a blanck line, indicate finantioal support or grants of any kind.
Only papers that rigorously follow the presented norms and approved by the event Scientific Comission will be accepted. Accepted papers will be listed on the site.
NOTICE: The papers will be submitted to evaluation only after the comprobatory registration payment is sent. The registration values will NOT be reimbursed, in case of paper inacepptance by the Scientific Comission.
TEMPLATE FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION
THE TITLE MUST BE SUCINT, DESCRIPTIVE AND AVOID ABBREVIATIONS. John Presenter and Peter Co-author (Department Name, University Name, City – ST, Country)
The abstract must contain between 400 and 500 words. It is expected that it starts with introdutory considerations that contextualize the project. Such considerations must be accompanied by a clear explanation of the objectives. The method must be described specifying participants, equipment and/or materials, as well as procedure, techniques and other used strategies. The result description must contain the sinthesis of what was obtained, specifying the data and, if it is the case, expliciting the measures and the results of statistical tests or other techniques applied. Do not include reference, figures or tables at the abstract. At the end, it must contain the conclusion, which must be based on the data and answer the research problem.
